A summer panoramic view from Thunder Ridge Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail in Virginia. The overlook is expansive and beautiful. Its a very short 1/4 mile or less walk from a parking lot on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail runs right by it as well. If you're driving the parkway or hiking the trail this should be a planned stop without a doubt. Also to the right side of the picture you can see the Devils Marbleyard (a large boulder field on the side of the mountain).
I'm a hiker and a nature lover. I've enjoyed taking pictures in the woods or just about anywhere I've been outdoors since I was a kid. I enjoy capturing the beauty of the world as I explore it. My pictures are what I see. I do a little editing, but mainly just to sharpen the image or improve the range of color and contrast to match what I saw with my eyes. The idea of selling my pictures or putting them up for public consumption is very new for me. I appreciate any comments or feedback and I look forward to being a part of this community. Thank you.
