A panorama from Mt, Craig in the black mountains of North Carolina. Mt. Craig is the 2nd highest mountain east of the Mississippi and is next Mt. Mitchell (the highest mountain east of the Mississippi). It is off the Blue Ridge Parkway and is part of the Black Mountain Crest Trail. It was a cloudy and foggy day but that made for some interesting shots of fog rising off the mountains, but you can also see a little patch of blue sky on one side of the picture. They say those mountains create their own weather and this sky shows how it can change over short distances.
I'm a hiker and a nature lover. I've enjoyed taking pictures in the woods or just about anywhere I've been outdoors since I was a kid. I enjoy capturing the beauty of the world as I explore it. My pictures are what I see. I do a little editing, but mainly just to sharpen the image or improve the range of color and contrast to match what I saw with my eyes. The idea of selling my pictures or putting them up for public consumption is very new for me. I appreciate any comments or feedback and I look forward to being a part of this community. Thank you.
